Switzerland honors the Ethereum founders

The Swiss authorities, along with the Canton and City of Zug, honored the founders of Ethereum for their contributions to the Swiss and global economy. Attendees stepped into the birthplace of Ethereum in Zug, Switzerland, to join the grand celebration of Ethereum's 10-year anniversary.

All Ethereum founders were thanked for their transformative impact and received prestigious awards from the Canton and City of Zug. The Swiss government, represented by Mrs. Karin Keller-Sutter, took part in the event with a video statement.

Zug made history in 2014 when the Ethereum founders set up shop in the small Swiss town, and Crypto Valley was born. Ten years later, with almost 1,300 blockchain companies and 13 unicorns, Crypto Valley has officially become the world’s #1 blockchain hub.

As Stadt Zug puts it: Without Ethereum, there would be no Crypto Valley. That’s why we're celebrating!

Celebrating a decade of Ethereum

ETH10X celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Zug-based Ethereum Foundation by inviting the Ethereum founders to the stage. The Swiss authorities, along with the Canton and City of Zug, thanked all Ethereum founders for their transformative impact on the city and the global economy. They also received prestigious awards from the Canton and City of Zug.

But the celebration didn’t stop there—following the awards ceremony, attendees joined the founders in celebrating this milestone with an awesome party, complete with DJs, good music, and an open bar until late.

ETH10X was hosted by the Canton of Zug, Stadt Zug, the Swiss Blockchain Federation, CV VC, CV Labs, Bitcoin Suisse, MME, Zuger Kantonalbank, and Safe.
